As said by others - vibration at a given road speed is usually tyre balance. Occasionally CV joints may cause vibration but usually at low speed around tight corners as a lumpyness. Also a bent drive shaft (after a severe knock) or simply the central weight on some driveshafts moving (heavy knock / old glue). If the car has been sitting for a while tyres can have a flat spot until they warm up, but this is usually only after parking whilst tyres are hot. In the case of a new car it is almost certainly tyre balance. The tyres are put on with a soapy lubricant. If the tyres are pushed hard too soon after fitting (off the production line or out of the tyre fitters or see how the new demonstrator goes:-) ) the tyres can move around the rim and effectively the balancing weight is then in the wrong position hence out of balance and vibration. This movement is one of the reasons you should avoid heavy acceleration or braking on new tyres. Personally I like to run new tyres in and heat cycle them a few times before being too demanding on them. Jeff
