Subject: Re: Cost of Clutch 96 900 SE Turbo

350 fpr a NG900/9^3 clutch?!? Please tell us your dealer! To do a NG clutch, you have to have the support structure which goes between the towers and separate the engine from the transmission. Not a fun job IMO. Now on a C900, 350 soinds more like it. 1 hr work and about 200 -300 for parts depending what is replaced. On the NG 900, make sure that the 'snorkel tube' is replaced with the later version. Also, investigate getting the shift linkage modification done (97+ style). Rear main seal would also be a good idea at this time as well. If the clutch is still smooth (not grabby), the resurfacing which some dealers/shops do as a matter of course MAY not be necessary. parts as a minumum disk, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, rear main seal, snorkel tube. Good luck, KeithG (Man am I glad I got rid of my '96 900SET...)
