The technical problems are common to most cabrios whether a bimb or a soab. If the bimb is more rigid, it is probably also heavier with a performance penalty thrown in. Then there is the security aspects and the upkeep of the fabric roof. Possible noise penetration? Poor rear view visibility and the robbery of space. Plus high purchase price. But they do look nice in the summer. I understand that the Saab cabrio is now the most popular of its class.
