Subject: Re: 2003 Saab 9-3

I just bought an '01 Viggen and the salesman told me that there would be no hatchback for 2003, but that they would eventually bring the hatch back, perhaps in a 2003.5 year models? I told him that would turn off a lot of Saab fanatics, and given this thread I guess I was right . . . This is my 2nd Saab (other was '98 900SET) and I can't say I would avoid Saab without a hatch as the 9-5 loaners I've driven are very nice and are obviously Saab cars. Hell, if I'd gotten the same deal on an Aero as I did on the Viggen I'd be driving a non-hatch Saab now! 8^) However I tend to agree, the new 9-3 better obviously look like a Saab or they can forget about their best, most enthusiastic customers, and I'll just maintain my Viggen for it's eventual collector's item status.
