I'm fairly sure that the 9-5 is identical in this respect to the 9000CS/CD's that came before. If so then ..... 1. if there's a height adjuster on the dash, then use it to set the beams to max height. 2. if no height adjuster is present (or maximum from the dash is still too low), then you have to go under the bonnet. There's a lateral adjuster and a vertical adjuster on each side. Handbook tells you which is which. You just need a small size metric socket (6mm or 7mm ?) and short reach handle/drive. The book tells you to set the beam height with "the vehicle on even ground facing a wall" but the beams are so dispersed you really can't measure. Far better is to make an adjustment, COUNTING THE TURNS, say about 6 full turns in the required direction. Then wait till your next night-time usage and make a judgement how much further/back to readjust. TIP: Once you have found out which adjuster is which, label them with Dymo tape. I did this and have never regretted it as lamps frequently need adjusting after bulb change. ALSO: Thanks for reminding me. Mine are a bit low at the moment and need bringing up a bit.
