The 900 would be my first choice of the options you gave for a snow car. It has a better front suspension and better polar moments with a longitudinal engine. It is more nimble in my experience, anyway, which backs up the engineering numbers. What really helps a snow car is limited slip fwd which none of your choices has. I am assuming that you are in Euro-land somewhere or maybe the UK. My favorite snow car was a '94 VW Jetta (Bora) VR6 with limited slip. It would go anywhere. The '92 900 is second. $0.02, KeithG "sd" <sameson45234nopsamail.com> wrote in message news:4ntY7.37621$4x4.4374042nopsam2-win.server.ntlworld.com... > I don't really think a 900 is any better/worse in snow than most modern FWD. > The best snow car was the old 96, freewheel, smooth underbelly, light and > those nice skinny 155 radials. > > "Four Weis" <mweinopsamcom> wrote in message > news:3C31D343.CF259B00nopsamcom... > > Buy the one with the least rust and the best mechanical condition. > > > > I bought a new 1986 900 base model, just like the one you are looking at. > I > > sold it 16 years later because the front end rusted out.
