Subject: Re: Timing Belt replacement

Ummmmm....Kervin......I think you'll be hard pressed to replace the timing belt. Mainly 'cause there ain't no stinkin' timing belt. SAABs have real engines with real timing CHAINS. The entire timing chain system (chain, sprockets, guides, tensioners,etc..) is likely to need replacement around 200K mi. Rather major engine work. around $1500. Pull the head and clean the combustion chambers and pistons and do valve seals while you're in the neighborhood. woof Kervin Ridgley <kervinridgleynopsamhlink.net> wrote in message news:3C386B92.74FFCB52nopsamhlink.net... > I'd like to replace the timing belt on a 96 900.
