This has nothing to do with the alarm. By locking twice you activate a second mode for the locks making it impossible to unlock the doors from inside. This is an extra protection as it makes it more difficult to enter the car by breaking a window. > I tried it and the red diode now blinks twice every 2 seconds. This can't be right. The double blink indicates that the immobolizer is active (because you removed the key from the ignition) but the alarm system has not been activated. > 1 What does it mean when the red diode blinks once every 2 seconds? The immobolizer and the alarm system is active. > 2 What does it mean when the red diode blinks twice every 2 seconds? The immobolizer is active but the alarm system is not. This is how it should behave: 1. Sit in the car with doors closed and ignition on. No LED activity. 2. Turn off ignition and remove key from ignition lock. LED should do its double blink. Immobolizer active, alarm system not active. 3. Open door, exit car, close door, lock with remote (1 or 2 presses). LED should light continuously for 10 seconds. Immobolizer active, alarm system in waiting state. 4. LED should do its single blink after 10 seconds. Immobolizer active, alarm system active. -- G–ran Larsson hoh AT approve DOT se
