These discussions keep cropping up and in fairness let's compare apples to apples. If you look at the repair and maintence costs of comparable cars in the same price range I don't think you will find Saab's out of line. I have owned 3 Saabs, 2 BMWs, 5 Jaguars (yeah yeah I should be locked for getting any after the first and they are the most expensive to maintain), 2 Alfas, etc. The jag's were the most expensive to maintain and the Alfas next. I think Saab maintenance falls into place eith the BMWs and from what I can tell Mercedes as well ... I also think it is comparable to Cadillac and Lincoln. Location may also play a role. I KNOW there are more Saabs here in the boonies of NH than there are in most places and maybe even more than some of the lower priced more popular Japanese. As an example in concord (the nearest big .. 25,000 pop ... town) there is a Saab dealer and there are two independent Saab/Volvo garages. Ted Harris Resource Strategy Henniker, New Hampshire
