Well, I didn't want to say anything, but I never felt more uncomfortable than in the BMW showroom. I hate to generalize people based on what they drive, too. The BMW's are in such high demand that the dealers just acted like they didn't have time for anyone at the dealership, and they told us that the 5 series has a 60-90 day wait for delivery and the color wasn't an option unless my friend wanted to wait longer. The Saab dealer was much nicer and more helpful. They were pretty knowledgeable about the cars and they encouraged long drives in the Aero. They also were much more willing to deal, even on the Aero, which is in short supply by comparison to the other models. Also, there was something disconcerting to me with the red BMW dash lights. I know that red lights won't blind your night vision, but, they became a bit hard to read when the whole dash is bathed in it.
