So do lots of other cars. Seem kind of foolish to me. An airbag is not
exactly a precision instrument. A few degrees up or down, given the 
variety of possible driver height, seems insignificant. 

I too was quite surprised when a car as luxury laden as my Saab did 
not have a tilt wheel.
