See my post from 1/13/2002. I don't think the turbo bearings being soaked in coolant was much of a problem, but chunks of headgasket being shot through the turbine vanes was - not only were the vanes damaged, but a piece apparently lodged between the turbine & housing. I replaced the cartridge, and the turbo now works better than ever! By the way, my source was Diesel Components in Burnsville, MN, which is a Garrett distributor. They got the cartridge from Turbo International, which is wholesale only.
