No surprise at all that that dealer is gone. When I went test driving BMW's (for my friend, not me) here in Massachusetts, I got a similar feel. They let us test drive examples of the 2 year old 5 Series he wanted to lease, but, he had to wait 90 days for the exact car that he would actually be leasing. He didn't have to commit then and there, but, I was a bit shocked. The 5 Series he was looking at were not rare cars and I just shake my head when I talk to him on the phone and he tells me how he is still waiting for his car to be found.
