I quite agree that a test drive is absolutely essential. I once (~1997) went into a posh Saab showroom in West London. After having waited half an hour or so, the salesman approached me. The s/h 9000 he showed me turned out to be one of the rare CSEs without a turbo or even a lpt. Since I didn't like that, he spent some considerable time on his computer and found another s/h CSE model on their dealer network, but I had to buy it there and then. He then acted with surprise and amazement when I declined to buy before looking at the car and said that I had wasted his valuable time. The dealer is no longer there... Johannes
