Tires are usually the culprit, especially if you have higher performance tires such as those that come on a 9-3 SE. If you want a great snow car, put a set of Hakka snow tires on your car. Your Saab dealer may sell steel wheel and snow tire packages. If your area allows studded tires, they are certainly great on ice. You can find adds for snow tires in most car magazines. You don't mention if you have a 5-speed or an auto. If you have a 5-speed and have trouble turning corners in bad weather (as in, car wants to go straight but you want to turn), try pushing the clutch in. This releases the friction from the front tires and encourages the car to turn. Tod.
