The hydraulic tappets can make a noise for several minutes after startup, especially when the car has stood for a while, and this usually quietens when the oil gets round. Secondly, the timing chain and/or camshaft balance chain can both make a sound when they wear. It's unusual for that to be the case at your mileage, and a slight sound doesn't mean impending doom. Other potential sources range from possible vacuum leaks (but you would normally notice a change in engine behaviour) or aircon components, if your car has them. Nothing serious in all probability - where is the noise coming from? -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) http://www.dannyscoffee.com (UK advert for my mobile espresso service) swap Z for above characters in email address to reply
