Subject: Re: Advice Needed: 1998 Saab 900SE Turbo Coupe

Had the same problem with my 98 SE Turbo regarding the vibration. After many times to the shop and a couple of thousand dollars (fortunately their money) it is better. Yes! I said better. Changed all tires - did not fix but was a little better. Changed a rim - still some more improvement Alignment and balance - no real change Checked all suspension and it seemed fine except for a couple of bushings and these were replaced - seemed to have a noticeable difference. Dealer checked the CV joints and declared them fine. Winter came - I purchased four new steel rims and four new Alpine tires - It is quite good now. Only a noticeable vibration but not objectionable. The worst vibration was when power was applied above 110 kph or going up hill. With cruise on and a hill approaching, the car would apply power to maintain the speed then the vibration was very noticeable. Same vibration as when applying power manually on the flat. Wonder what will happen when the steel wheels go away for the summer and the shiny 16's come back out?
