Subject: Replace '96 model 900 series tape/radio player

Hi all, New to this group but am expecting delivery of my first Saab next week (a '96 year UK 900) - hurrah! Anyways, I see that it has a factory-fitted radio/cassette player which is very well integrated into the dash. It has four (what I presume to be) fitment holes at each corner of what appears to be a 'double height' radio/cassette player (double height in comparison to the standard after market radio/cassette/CD units from places like Halfords). Therefore the questions are: (1) Can the standard unit be removed with relative ease? How? (2) Is there some form of blanking plate or facia 'adaptor' available to allow fitment of an after-market radio/slot-CD unit? (3) Is a standard audio unit fitment plug used by Saab to disconnect the existing unit wires and allow simple connection of replacement one? (4) Did Saab make a retro-fit single-slot CD/radio player which would suit the surrounding grey better? If so, does anybody know if there are any still available and from where in the UK and how much? Or even better; has anybody got a second hand one available? (I may stop being lazy and seek this via breakers yards ;-) Thanks for helping a newbie... Nick
