Paul, Check for a vibration in the front end at higher speeds under power and ideally in a situation such as going up hill. I have a Saab Engineer - yes the real thing - coming to work on my car (a 98) and he tells me this is a problem with the 97 and 98's. It could be the Triangle (what ever that is) and they take it out and see if there is any black on the it - if so, it and the associated part is replace. Otherwise they undo all the fittings on the front end that they can find and re-torque them to spec and start from there. Good luck.
