Subject: Re: Asking advice before buying a used Saab

As was said, you'll **know** if you want the convertible! I have a '92 900 turbo convertible - its the first, last and only Saab I'll own, 'cos I'm gonna keep it, and I don't care about maintenance costs! (doesn't mean I can afford it, just that I'll choose to!) But seriously, after about 150k km, of which I put on about 40 km in a year, the biggest repair I've done was the clutch and a motor mount when I bought it with under 100k km on it. Reliability has been excellent, with just a couple of problems showing up now: morning sickness (stiffness in the steering caused by the steering rack), and intermittent problems with central locking (not all doors/trunk will unlock, but drivers side does) Its a simple choice - you either want the convertible, or not. I did!
