Subject: Suggested oil for '96 model 900 2.0i

Hi all, Can anybody please confirm the best oil to be used in a '96 model 900 2.0i (UK spec)? I intend to change the oil inbetween services at every 5000 miles (this did my Golf very well) but want to know if I should ask for semi-synthetic or full-synthetic. If you pay Kwik-Fit or ATS a bit more they usually comply with the good stuff which may help save an engine. How important is the use of Saab oil filters on non-turbo cars? I intend to buy these specifically from the local dealer to be fitted by KF/ATS but I am not sure if the previous owner kept to this (although the engine seems very smooth). Also, what's the service interval for spark plugs? And to stop me pestering you all with such trivia, can anybody point me to an authorative web page detailing suggested servicing for these cars? :-) Thanks in advance, Nick
