Subject: 9000 Turbo Intermittent starting problem - help wanted

Yesterday my 1987 9000T failed to start after a 2 mile journey. Usually it is very reliable and starts first time at the turn of the key. The scenrio and symptoms were this... The day before the engine had run hot (but not in the red on the guage) because of a fan failure. On the day ofthe fault I had warmed the engine to test the newly installed cooling fan switch... no problems. About an hour later I started the car (again no problem) to go on a short 2 mile trip. The car was then parked for about half an hour after which it refused to start. The engine turned over fine, but would not fire. This persisted for several attempts over about 15 mins. By the time the brekdown service arrived an hour and a half later it started it took a litle longer than usual to start... but since then has been fine... any ideas ? (My girlfreind is starting to lose faith in the big old Swede)
