Good choice - I think you will love it. Gadgets galore, especially 1997 or after - heated seats, mirrors, power, central locks, and the list goes on. As to the driving position, I don't think the SAAB can be beat. It is comfortable but upright, with a tremendous view of everything around you. Reliability? I own a 1985 900 Turbo with a gazillion miles, and I have never done ANYTHING to it but change the oil religiously, replace a couple of cracked vacuum hoses, buy tires, and replace the headliner. If there was any complaint at all, it would be the headliner. The older SAABs were notorious for sagging headliners, and I am getting ready to put my third one in. I don't know if they came up with a better design in the newer ones or not. But, with the new headliner, my 17 year old car will look new again, and it has a fresh, classic shape that to me will never get old. And it is a superbly designed, engineered and executed piece of machinery. Good luck!
