It is a '98 SE 2.0L Turbo with 115K on it. Glad to hear you have not experienced anything similar. I will be somewhat surprised if it turns out to be the 'only failure' given the design that has such a tremendous moment exerted on the bracket by the idler pulley and such a large hole drilled in the bracket at that point. Since it is a fixed bracket, more bracing could have been incorporated in the design from the top to the bottom and thus avoided the potential of the part to fail.
