Robin, Try this, put your finger tips on the badge only and see if you can rotate it back to its normal position. My '92 does this. It is odd, but I just live with it. If it is really annoying, you can try to remove the badge and glue it. I would suspect that it can be removed with a knife blade or small screwdriver and glued back down, but have not tried it.
