We have a UK spec 1994 900S, our first SAAB after years of fords, and we love it. BUT... It keeps dying on us, it goes like this Youre driving along and sudenly the car seems to jerk, like you let go of the throttle, this happens several times, and all the time you are losing speed. So you pull in and whilst at a halt the engine seems to struggle, so you depress the throttle and nothing happens, then it suddenly revs up but the moment you try to let the clutch out the revs drop back to tick over. Eventually it stalls and you have to wait a few minutes. then you can start up and drive off normally, but not for long. I suspect the throttle, or the ecu, but not being a mechanic I need help before we spend money at a SAAB specialist. Anyone got any ideas? Has this happened to you before? Is the throtttle linkage electric or am I barking up the wrong tree? Car is manual. Many thanks Alistair and Jenny
