Sounds like you are suffering from over-boost fuel cut off protection. This may fix itself after a bit of use once the Trionic ECU has adapted to the new intercooler. Performing an 'adaption' run or two would accelerate this. Check that you plumbed the APC solenoid in correctly when you fitted your intercooler, or it could be that you have a vacuum/pressure leak that is preventing the waste gate actuator from doing its stuff.
