Could a splash of petrol be washing over the sensor or something ? > or is there another explaination ? The plot thins... I have however managed to reproduce the scenario by timing my fill-up times and driving exactly the same sequence. My theory is that there is a pressure leak in the pump somewhere (not in the fluid as I am not losing any). The ABS system loses pressure quickly (even overnight needs a full pressure re-charge) this then registers as a fault in the ABS ECU. I drive a few miles and the system re-charges, then after a short stop before the system has leaked all its pressure I start up again and the ECU says all is well. An overnight stop ... the pressure is lost and the problem returns I guess the next questions are does the theory sound viable ? Is there a way to fix the pump (seals or something) If I seek out a second hand one are the abs pumps fitted to later 9000s (93 on when I think ABS is standard) the same as my 92 Carlsson How do I fit the pump... does it need priming etc.
