Where in the bootheel are you? near Cape or Sikeston? There is a lot of good info on no start checks on Saabnet.com and Townsend. I would think that if the body and interior are in good shape, it is probably worth 1k. Look for other telltale signs of abuse (low oil, etc) Headliner is normal for that climate and age. It can be easily recovered. The fuel pump is easy to replace.
