Keith (and all), I have been supplied with Saab Orange (or could be amber) Long Life Coolant Anti-freeze. a 50/50 mix with water gives protection down to -40 deg C (not much chance of that here in west Wales!). According to Saab UK I can mix it as I am only really topping it up. Keith when you say 'H' motor I assume that you mean 4 Cyl. also If I was to flush the system what do I flush with ?, Water ? Gee, this whole coolant thing has become alot more complicated than I thought. This thread has been a real eye opener. thanks Jonathon "KeithG" <noonenopsamhlink.net> wrote in message news:ae514h$mec$1nopsam9.atl.mindspring.net... > Green 'can' be mixed with amber (merc) and blue (saab) as they are similar > base chemistry, but not with pink/orange (dexcool) as it is a completely > different chemistry and vice versa.
