Make sure that the fuse is OK on the alarm unit under the seat. Make sure that the antenna is connected properly to the alarm unit. Does the unit arm, but just not lock/unlock, or does it just not respond at all? These alarms are a bit different from your Rover. These are not 'programmable'. If the light lights, the signal 'should be' sent out from the remote. If nothing happens, the receiver is not getting it.
