Subject: Re: Keyless entry remote programming?

A bit more information is required. Is this a 'SaabGuard' alarm? If so, the remotes will say 'Saab' on them and they will be black with a single white button. Is the car a convertible? I will assume that it was a Saabguard alarm which was installed by the dealer in a 3 dr or 4 dr. I have one of these in my '92. The Saab installation gives you an alarm which can be turned on by the remote or by locking the driver door (passive arming). The actual alarm unit is capable of 'keyless entry' and also 'light flash', but these were not wired up at the time of installation. It can be done, but it depends on your level of expertise. I was able to do it to mine. You must 1) get a door lock motor for the driver's door 2) wire it up to the lock ECU 3) wire the lock ECU to the alarm unit to the appropriate pins (this information is detailed in the Bentley manual for the up to '93 convertibles which used this alarm unit and had keyless entry from the factory). Light flash requires a DPDT relay wired to the alarm unit to the appropriate pin (again in the Bentley) and wiring to the turn signal circuit. Good luck, KeithG notooyou wrote: > Anyone know how to reprogram a keyless entry remote on an older 900?
