Subject: Re: a/c question

Let me see if I can tackle a few questions at once. The liquid..if it is neon orange or green (Which I hope you would've mentioned it was if it was) it's compressor oil...doubtful though If it's clear it's probably jsut wanter running off the cold pipes the coolent runs through If your system is loud, and you think it might be the compressor, try putting in a can of PAG oil mixed with R134A, you can buy this in a can at the auto place for about $4 and a refill kit for about $12. If you'r system isn't running well, if the compressor isn't running at all, or if it cycles on or off a lot it's probably low on refrigerent. Understand that in all newer cars (Starting around 94) it is NOT Freon (R-12) but Sulva (R-134a). If you can somehow get your hands on some freon, you'll never get it in the system, and if you DO get it in the system it sill seriously mess it up. Think I answered most the questions...now lets see if it will post (Google's been having some problems)
