Jean Paul, I think you found it. The coils cases are full of oil and the seals break down over time and the oil can leak out. With no oil, the coils do not cool well and at high load you may not have enough energy to fire the mixture. It is a '94 and on anothe rlist, the guys did an assessment on the costs of the DI cassette vs. rotor/cap/wires and the total cost comes up about the same or less for the DI cars assuming you replace the ignition components on the schedule and the DI cassette lasts 160,000km or so. Some of the cassettes have translucent cases on the coils and you may be able to tell if one or more have leaked out. A 'swap' of a known good component for a test will also show up a bad cassette.
