Subject: front shocks saab 99

Hi there It's been a while, but here's a q: I changed shocks the other day, and managed to destroy the threaded part of the lower bolt, left side. It's enough bolt left for the shock, but no threads. Solution: I bought a really sturdy hose clamp (all metal), and secured the shock in place . I can't imagine that any movement would be strong enough to break this clamp, but I'm not sure though.... any opinions? (the bolt broke off just where the thread starts, last change of shocks obviously done by a maniac mechanic with turbo tools...... ) Anders
