Sentronic? Paddle changes? Currently the automatic gearbox in the 9-5 is a simple 5-speed box. In the new 9-3 the box has a sequential function - you can push the gear lever to one side and then flick it up and down to change gears at will. There is also an option to have paddles / buttons on the steering wheel so that you can change gear up and down without taking your hands off the wheel - one button changes up a gear, the other changes down. Audi call their version "Tiptronic", Alfa Romeo call theirs "Selespeed" and Saab have chosen to call their version "Sentronic". This gearbox will apparently be offered on the 2003 9-5.
