I just drove home this very afternoon (19 June) with a new headliner (etc.) in my '89 SPG (original 900, 3-door= 2-door hatchback). I'm located in western Wisconsin. Local cost was just over $200, but would be probably at least $100 more in most places. I downloaded and printed out the instructions from 2 web locations, to assist the trim shop that did the work. I did NOT purchase Saab original fabric, but was able to find a *very* similar stock headliner color. Original material and parts would doubtless hike up the price, considerably. Well worth it, and well worth $100 more, in my opinion. If you're going to do it, do the whole thing (quarter posts too!) I'd expect costs on a 4-door (with trunk) would be more -- it's more difficult (= time =$) to remove and replace the headliner on those. If you need a complete headliner replacement, try 'Andrews of Princeton' a business near Minneapolis, but their cost doesn't include installation. They have a web site. Now, can someone tell me where to get some of that blue- grey fabric to re-cover the parcel shelf and the door panels? Good Luck Lloyd ***** replies to: bogart[AT]centurytel.net
