Well, I guess that's the free market economy at work. I drive to work even though the bus is cheaper (when taking parking and gasoline into account), because it's quicker for me to drive and I get home earlier. Not the fault of mass-transit, it's just the nature of the beast that occasionally it'll have to stop to pick up/drop off more people. I guess my point is that rail works well when places are relatively close together, but once you get beyond a certain distance, folks don't want to use it. Dave Hinz
