Not only have many of us tried Bosch plugs and gone back to NGK, but the simple fact that Saab doesn't ship the car with them, when so much of the electronics in the car *is* from Bosch, probably says that there's a really good reason that they're shipping the cars with NGK's. Here's an article which talks about all of the things the plugs are being used for in our cars - it doesn't discuss Bosch vs. NGK directly, but maybe it'll help to explain why the spark plug is such an integral part of the engine management systems: http://www.vehicular.isy.liu.se/~larer/Projects/main.html Pretty intense article, and I'm not saying I understand the whole thing yet, but basically they're using the spark plug as a sensor, to get a whole lot of information out of the engine, and managing the engine from that information. Something as critical as the sensor that gives all of this information, should probably go wiht the specified unit. In other words - stick with the NGK's. Dave Hinz
