It sounds like you may have a ground problem. The big ones are the first to check. disassemble and clean the battery negative, the connection to the chassis (front cross member), connection to the engine at the transmission, the 2 bolts at the head, the alternator ground strap and any others which you find which may be a bit corroded. These are important, though. The ignition module ground is also important. It would probably be with the rest of the grounds at the head, or on the fender (I am not sure). Jumping the relay is accomplished at the fuse box or at the relay itself. The relay uses a small current to close a switch of much larger current. The large current (to run the fuel pump) is from tab #30 to tab #87 or #87b. This is detailed on the townsend site 'no start LH 2.4 checks' http://216.78.172.244/engine_folder/nostart24.htm The hall sensor would be best checked by seeing if there is a pulse train (low voltage) coming from the hall sensor to the ignition module.
