The band button always worked on my 1986. My 1994 requires that the radio be left on for at least 30 minutes, at which pushing the band button will reset to code to allow the proper code input again. This always works, but occasionally my radio acts upa dn will not reset even with the correct code. It will however let me continue to enter the code without "timing out". Anyone have an answer to that (besides to buy a new radio)? Regards, GE.
