I had a 1984 900 and loved it. I should have purchased a new 900 when they were being phased out. But, I did not, so I am stuck with the 9-3 or 9-5 if I want another Saab. When I first test drove a 9-3, the space in the foot well was very cramped. There was barley enough room for my size 11 shoes on the brake and clutch at the same time. Based mostly on this problem I did not purchase a Saab. Well, I just returned from test driving a 2002 9-3. The foot well seems to have more space -- or is my memory of the other test drive faulty? Does anyone know if Saab redesigned the foot well of the 9-3 in the past 3 years or so? -- Vic Roberts
