Subject: Re: OIL PUMP NOISE 9000 CSE

Well here is the answer, I decided to take it to the next step. and remove the timing cover. I found my noise, it was right behind the oil pump. The balance chain was wearing right in the timing cover behind the oil pump. You talk about scrap parts, the timing cover will be welded in the morning by a friend, (NO CHARGE). The balance chain is warn bad, both crank gears are bad, the one for the balance was missing, the intake side gear the teeth are really warn bad, the exhaust gear has no teeth, that's right just a ring were the teeth should be. the adjuster is bad, and all the guides are bad. the only thing that looked half good was the idler gear and I striped the head the bolt that holds it on, so add a bolt to the list. by the way I will replace the idler gear anyway, it would be lonely.I bought all the parts today, except they did not have the bolt I broke, just my luck.
