My theory for what it's worth...... I've been driving Saabs since I was 16 so have noticed for quite some time that you can buy used Saabs for considerably less than the cars it competes with. Resale is a popularity/demand game. For instance, the Dodge Caravan is a piece of junk, but in the early 90's (don't know how they fare now) they were holding high resale because everybody wanted one (not me, I just used to sell them. Drove my trusty 83 900T back and forth from the ole' Dodge dealership). So, since Saabs have been labeled as quirky and early on didn't have the sexiest shape (to non-Saab lovers), they weren't in high demand. No demand = sell cheap to get it off the lot. Pretty simple. I think this will start to change with the intro of the new 9-3. So, buy it up. Can't believe that you can buy a 9000 Aero for about 10 grand and still give new 3 series bimmers a run for their money (second only to an M3). My two cents....
