Subject: Loose wire on '88 900t

Lately, my 900t16v has been missing, particulary at mid to high rpm's. I popped the hood open to look for any visible signs, like cracked ignition wires or something. One of the first things that caught my eye was a wire dangling from the ignition coil. More accurately, from the 'condensor' attached to the coil. The wire is about a foot long or so, and terminates into a eyelette connector. It even had a screw in the eyelette, so it's got to attach somewhere. I've look through my Bentley manual and can't find anything about it. I've also checked the Haynes manual, (yep, got both of 'em!), and can't find anything that relates to the wire OR the condensor. I vaguly remember that the condensor has something to do with the points or ignition, but I don't remember exactly what. I think it has something to do to prevent 'arcing' of the points, but I'm really guessing here. Nonetheless... If anyone could take a peek under their hoods to see where that dang wire goes, I'd be very appreciative! Thanks, Brandon Thomas 1988 900 Turbo 16v SPG
