It's also lighter and more rigid. (no rattly tailgate..) Personally, I don't think the hatch looks THAT great (good in black, with whaletale:-) ) yes it's more practical, but hey if wanted practicality I'd buy a volvo estate.. One model I dislike is the 5-door, it looks just gawky, especially that opera window.
