I insured my old (now dead) turbo with Budget Insurance. Despite the name, they provide very comprehensive cover (including audio equipment). My old turbo was "modded" with APC alterations (big red-zone boosts), non-standard exhaust and wider tyres (205/60). At the time, I was in my first year of insurance, although I had driven for about 3 years on my wife's cover, and the policy cost me just over 1000 UKP TPF&T. Yes, that was a lot for a 400 UKP car :( I have been with Budget for two years now and still insure both of my Saabs with the - a 16V 900i costing about 400 UKP (third party only) and an 8V 900 Turbo S costing about 600 UKP (fully comp). Similar quotes come out at about 800 UKP & 1400 UKP respectively!!! They might be okay for you - you sound like you have a good history and capable of driving a performance car safely????
