Subject: Sound from door pillar



Now with corrected typo error !.

9-5 auto Saloon - First regst. Feb 1999 -  RH drive.
Very pleased with my recent Saab purchase,changed from a Merc E series.

So far only one small annoyance.At low speed ( in traffic jam etc.)I hear a
knocking sound which appears to come from the pillar on my right side.
I suspect that it is the seat belt mechanism, or could it be connected with
air bags in the pillar?
If there is only a seat belt in the pillar is it an easy job to reveal and
examine it ?.
With local "technicians" rate near to a £1 per minute I would prefer to sort
it myself if possible.
A word (or two) from the wise appreciated.
