I had my 2000 Saab 9-5 serviced at 20,000 miles. At 24,000 miles my brake warning light came on and I found the brake fluid level was low. I then had my brake system checked by the dealer and I was told my brakes were working normally. I was charged $30 for having brake fluid added. I was told it was normal to need to periodically add more brake fluid. I had my car serviced at 30,000 miles which included having the front brake pads replaced. Now, at 34,000 my brake warning light has come on again and the brake fluid level is again below the minimum level. Is it normal that I need to take my car back to the dealer every 4,000 miles and be charged $30 to have brake fluid added? If not, what are my alternatives? Jiffy Lube will not add brake fluid at my regular oil changes for safety reasons.
