Subject: Re: '97 900SE ACC fan not working

Sometimes it works, most of the time it : doesn't. When it does work, it comes on high only, regardless of what : is being displayed on the ACC's display. Going through the archives of : this newsgroup, I decided it was probably a bad fan speed resister. : On a NG 900, it should be located near the fan, under the cabin air : filter, right? Wrong. No resistor block. So, two questions: : : - Has anyone else experienced this problem and how did you go about : resolving it? : : - Assuming it is the fan speed resister, on the '97 900se convertible, : where is the fan speed resister located? http://www.thesaabsite.com/900new/NGfanspeedresistorlocation.htm : A shop manual with a circuit diagram would sure make this job easier. : Why isn't one available for NG 900s? You can get a UK version Haynes manual. With the exception of the driver's seat being on the wrong side of the car, it's fairly consistent. I do have to say that the Haynes manual is very vague on a lot of topics, but it's the only NG 900 manual I know of. -- agreenbu Return to Main Index
